Random Moments

Self Portrait of the Luthier in Wood.
I think he's captured the essence.

Wheeling my Dad into the nursing home for respite care,
Ten Year Old: "What do people do in respite care, Mum?"
Moi: "Well, they have a rest."
Ten Year Old: "Yeah, like rest in peace .... oh no, that's not right, is it?"

My daughter has christened her new doll "Rosie Clackers". Pretty!
I guess it could have been worse.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - that ten year old is a right cracker! (poor bewildered Grandpa)...

Rosie Clackers might like to meet Eggy Bear . A Seventies revival band could blossom ....
I hope the respite home does indeed provide a pleasant , friendly , uneventful stay of the purely temporary kind !

I have just spent some time reading your blog posts from over the years. Thanks for taking your readers along for the ride warts and all, with flair and style. Your use of humour is refreshing. Far from your average navel gazing blog and for this I thankyou.
