8 Years Old

My eldest son is 8 years old today.

We were in the car belting out "Hot Stuff' by Donna Summer recently when suddenly he stopped singing, had a strange look on his face and then the sudden shocked realisation - 

"Muuuuuum (rising intonation) I don't think she is talking about food".

He is growing up.

Our Forgotten Island

Read this. I love my island home but I hear a lot of complaints and sometimes I forget that I love it. It so nice to see it admired so passionately by  a visitor.
